Our Unsmoked Streaky Bacon is produced from British outdoor-reared pigs. The success of our products is through the use of traditional techniques polished over the years. This means that we don’t use any colouring, water or chemicals in our bacon. Instead all our bacon is traditionally dry cured for 21 days. This cut of bacon is from the sides and belly of the pig with distinct strips of fat. As you would expect with streaky bacon there is a higher fat content which is what helps to deliver on the flavours.
We slice and pack all our streaky bacon on site and deliver in chilled boxes for you to enjoy. Our kilo pack is ideal to divide up and freeze so you can pull out a pack and defrost in a few hours.
Unsmoked Streaky Bacon is perfect for cooking because of all the fabulous depth of flavour it imparts. Streaky bacon is ideal for adding to Spaghetti Carbonara for a really tasty dish or how about asparagus wrapped in bacon. Furthermore, for the festive season it’s perfect for wrapping around little pork sausages to make pigs in blankets.
