The Smoked Collar Bacon Joint is a cut from the shoulder of the pig. It used to be very popular in your local butcher shop but these days they are hard to come by. However this is continues to be one of our best sellers.
This area of the pig creates excellent joints of pork for roasting and boiling, making them very tender and juicy. Also it is delivered with the rind on. Furthermore, collar Joints are beautifully marbled with fat which results in the most amazing taste. Best served hot and whole, they make a great alternative for a Sunday roast. Available in different sizes this joint is very simple to cook.
Importantly, our pigs are British Outdoor reared producing the highest quality in pork. We cure them in the traditional way using dry cure salts and then the pork is smoked using oak smoked chips. We do not add any chemicals, water or flavourings during any of our processes.
